Jennie Curtis,
Shelter Manager
Jennie has been the shelter manager since 2014 and prior to that she had her own business in Downtown Fort Myers named K-9’s Come 1st Daycare, Boarding and Training Academy for 13 years.
Originally from Orange County California, Jennie grew up the daughter of a marine who moved his family often until his retirement when they settled in Cape Coral. Jennie attended and graduated North Fort Myers High School and Edison College where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice. She served as a police officer for many years prior to opening her business downtown Fort Myers.
Her passion is in helping animals get a better life and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her fourteen dogs.
