Pet Adoption OKC
Oklahoma City Animal Welfare is offering an adoption special on Friday, just in time for Christmas.
Officials said they want to make sure every pet has a home for the holidays. The shelter will stay open from noon until midnight, or until every pet gets adopted.
“The holiday season is the perfect time to welcome a new pet into your home, ” Animal Welfare superintendent Jon Gary said.
All dog and kitten adoptions are $30 and cats 6 months and older are free all day and night Friday during the Home for the Holidays adoption special at the OKC Animal Shelter at 2811 SE 29th Street.
Oklahomans who adopt a pet on Friday will get a holiday gift bag, and Santa is available for pictures. There will also be a prize raffle.
All adoptable pets at Animal Welfare are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and treated for worms. The animal shelter is open for adoptions and lost and found from noon to 5:30 p.m. daily except holidays and Friday, when it closes at midnight for the adoption special.
