Free dogs Melbourne
A dog-lover with no pet to call his own has posted a humorous note about town offering free walks so he can 'hang out with a dog for a bit'
Patrick Drennan (pictured) was in Mount Hotham when he was craving some time with man's best friend and decided to draw up a note asking if anyone in the area could help him out
The note was photographed and uploaded social media where it has been shared by several satirical social media accounts and liked hundreds of thousands of times.
Some social media users suggested Mr Drennan take up dog walking as a profession or help dogs at the pound, while others pointed him in the direction of websites that facilitate pet 'borrowing'.
'Why not check local rescues they would love the help of walking the dogs plus you'd get to give a dog loves that really needs it, ' one user wrote.
'That's what he's being doing instead of football on Monday nights, ' a friend commented.

Another woman offered her adorable dog's services when he returns to Melbourne.
'You can walk my dog! This is Golden Boy, ' she wrote with a picture of the brown
Mr Drennan noticed his note being shared online and said he had not had any luck in securing a loan dog, but recently got some face time with a poodle.
'Still haven't got to walk a dog yet guys but I did get to pat a poodle so that was pretty sick. Glad you liked my poster though, ' he wrote on social media.
Daily Mail Australia contacted Mr Drennan for comment.
